1 Corinthians 14:26
l SAT IN THE MEETING dumbfounded! I was in an old camp meeting tabernacle at White Rock, British Columbia, just outside Vancouver. The year was 1950 and Joy and I were two of the visitors at the annual summer camp meeting-the one we almost left because it was so rustic-sponsored by Glad Tidings Temple of Van couver. People had been drawn to this meeting from all over, since word had gotten out that God was moving again. I had heard that the prayer, worship, ministry of the Word and operation of spiritual gifts at this gath ering were outstanding. (The reports were correct.) Several prophets were laying hands on candidates and prophesying over them. I had seen noth ing like this in Pentecostal services and was amazed to observe the power of it. In my circles hands were customarily laid on ministerial candidates and prayers offered, but never with prophecy. For several years afterward, Joy and I returned for this annual meet ing. It was like spiritual post-graduate work. But I was not prepared for the strange phenomenon that began happening to me. As a candidate would receive prophetic ministry on the platform, a clear, mental image would suddenly come to my mind. At first I did not realize I was seeing a kind of vision; all I knew was that I was not thinking these things up! 363.
