toward the south: and the breadth of the place that was left was five cubits round about. P The gizrah 12 1 Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was 2 seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof 3 ninety cubits. P 13 1 So he measured the house, an 4 hun- dred cubits long; and the separate place, and the building, with the walls thereof, an 4 hundred cubits long; P 14 1 Also the breadth of the face of the house, and of the separate place toward the east, an 4 hundred cubits. P The projecting portions of the temple building 15 1 And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an 4 hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court; P 16 1 The door posts, and the narrow win- dows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered; P 17 1 To that above the door, even unto the inner house, and without, and by all the wall round about within and without, by measure. P 18 1 And it was made with cherubims and palm trees, so that a palm tree was between a cherub and a cherub; and every cherub had two faces; P 19 1 So that the face of a man was toward the palm tree on the one side, and the face of a young lion toward the palm tree on the other side: it was made through all the house round about. P 20 1 From the ground unto above the door were cherubims and palm trees made, and on the wall of the temple. P

21 1 The posts of the temple were squared, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance of the one as the appear- ance of the other. P 22 1 The 5 altar of wood was 6 three cubits high, and the length thereof two cubits; and the corners thereof, and the length thereof, and the walls thereof, were of wood: and 7 HE said unto me, This is the table that is before the LORD. P 23 1 And the temple and the sanctuary had two doors. P 24 1 And the doors had two leaves apiece, two turning leaves; two leaves for the one door, and two leaves for the other door. P 25 1 And there were made on them, on the doors of the temple, cherubims and palm trees, like as were made upon the walls; and there were thick planks upon the face of the porch without. P 26 1 And there were narrow windows and palm trees on the one side and on the other side, on the sides of the porch, and upon the side chambers of the house, and thick planks. P Ezekiel 42 The Temple area walls are measured (Note - This portion of Ezekiel’s prophecy took place in the 33rd year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign) Date Written - 572 BC/AM 3428 1 1 Then 7 HE brought me forth into the ut- ter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the 8 separate place, and which was before the building toward the north. P 2 1 Before the length of an 4 hundred cu- bits was the north door, and the breadth was 9 fifty cubits. P 3 1 Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the ut- ter court, was gallery against gallery in 10 three stories. P

P 41:18 Unlike the living creatures (cherubims) in Ezekiel 1:5-10, which had four faces, these cherubims only had two faces; that of a man and that of a young lion (vs 19). 42:1 In chapter forty, Ezekiel envisions what the Temple and the temple area will look like during the Millennium. In chapter forty-one, he is given the Temple’s dimensions by the LORD . In chapter forty-two (the measurements of the Temple having been completed), Ezekiel is conducted by the LORD into the outer ( utter ) court in order to measure all its walls (vs 7,10,12,15-20).
