60:12 Without a doubt, the greatest enemy facing man is not the Devil or the world, for they will be “absent” from the earth during the Millennium (Rev 20:1-6). The most dangerous enemy facing man is man himself. Clarence Larkin in The Book Of Revelation notes:

From this we see that the “Millennial Dispensation,” like all the six Dispensations before it, will end in failure. God will have tested man in “Innocence,” under “Conscience,” under “Self-Government,” under the “Headship of the Family,” under “Law,” under “Grace,” and finally under the influence of the “Holy Spirit,” free from Satanic influences, and under them all he will prove himself to be hopelessly, incurably and incorrigibly bad. If after a 1000 years of the Presence of the King, and of universal peace and blessing, man still persists in rebelling against his Maker, what will there be left for God to do? 1

60:13 We know that during the Millennium both GOD THE FATHER ( MY feet ) and GOD THE SON will co-reign together here on earth in Jerusalem ( Isa 24:23 & 25:6 and Rev 11:15 -17). Ezekiel tells us that the name of Jerusalem in that day shall be “ Jehovah-Shammah ” (The Lord is There – Ezek 48:35). NOTE – Such expressions ( MY feet ) do not mean that God possesses physical parts. God is spirit (Jn 4:24). Such expressions simply mean that God is capable of doing precisely the functions which are performed by these physical properties in man. Dr. Harold L. Willmington in Doctrine of the Trinity notes:

Some have been disturbed as they compare these statements with certain Old Testament expressions which speak of God’s arms (Deuteronomy 33:27), His eyes (Psalm 33:18), His ears (II Kings 19:16), and His mouth (Isaiah 58:14). However, these terms are simply anthropomorphic expressions. An anthropomorphic expression is a term which is used to explain some function or characteristic of God by using words descriptive of human elements. 2

60:19 It appears that during the Millennium part of the Holy Land shall be illuminated by the “Shekinah Glory” where it will not matter whether the sun shines or not (Isa 30:26 and Rev 21:23-24). This “ everlasting light ” will probably come from the New Temple, which will be located in the centre of the “Holy Oblation” near Shiloh (Ezk 48:21). 1 Larkin, Clarence.
