crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: “Praise the Lord!”’ (Rev 19:6)

The sound of the corporate spiritual song picks up momentum as it is permeated with shouts from the vast crowd of the redeemed. The shout is in response to tremendous power and glory displayed by the Lamb of God in purchasing our salvation. Whenever the Spirit reveals the majesty of the God, the corporate song of the Lord will arise and split the air with victorious shouts of praise.

The sound of an earthquake

“Lightning flashed, thunder crashed and roared, and there as an earthquake…’ (Rev 11:19)

The earth itself cries out in response to God ’s people worshiping the Lord. (11:16-18) The sound of earthquakes takes place in both the sonic and sub-sonic region. Many of the frequencies are below the capacity of humans to hear. This is like God’s sub -woofer speakers, his supra-contra-bass section of the choir of creation. When the nation of Israel crowned Solomon as their king there was an earthquake of praise: ‘And all the people followed Solomon into Jerusalem, playing flutes and shouting for joy. The celebration was so joyous and noisy that the earth shook with the sound.’ (1 Kgs 1:40)
