The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

Jesus illustrates this very thing with His disciples before His

death. He did not see them as they were at that moment —

competitive, misunderstanding, and not ready for Jesus’ trial

and rejection. Instead He sees them through God’s eyes — as

the amazing church that would reach every nation with His

message.

Jesus told His disciples:

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:12-13).

Jesus was able to look past the “ now ” and see the finished

product. One of the most important gifts of a spiritual father is

to their spiritual child to realize how God sees them, apart from

how they may see themselves. Jesus knew that shortly His

disciples would break and run when He was arrested and put

on trial. He knew their weakness and inability to see all that was

really going on. And yet He saw God’s finished work in their

lives.

A spiritual parent should not be surprised when their spiritual

son or daughter in the early days of their relationship feels they

will never be able to overcome their weaknesses or achieve the

spiritual discipline or gifting of God in their lives. Those early
