The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

4. The father gives the gift of the Impossible Dream.

The 1972 film Man of La Mancha presents the famous song

“The Impossible Dream.” The movie — based on the award

winning 1965 musical play of the same name, which in turn was

based on the classic 17th-century novel by Miguel de

Cervantes — tells the story of Don Quixote, an elderly Spanish

knight who believes himself to be on a great quest. This kind

and chivalrous elderly nobleman saves a prostitute, whom he

is convinced is a noblewoman. Throughout the movie Quixote

treats her with deep respect and points her to the noble life she

is to live. She realizes that he is somewhat crazy; but his

treatment of her begins to dramatically change how she sees

herself.

A spiritual parent must always seek to point to God’s full plan

for their spiritual children's lives. This is an important insight in

spiritual fathering in the last days. One of the primary purposes

of the spiritual father is to see and reflect to their spiritual

children the amazing finished picture of who they can become

in Jesus Christ. This is a heart issue where God allows the

heart of the spiritual parent to love the struggling spiritual child

with Go d’s love and with God’s vision for that child. Knowing

God’s heart they see what God can and will do in that spiritual

child’s life and they call them to press on towards that high

calling from God.
