The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

wicked kings and queens ever to rule in Israel. The name of

Elijah became synonymous with the idea of spiritual renewal.

God prophesied through the prophet Malachi that God would

once again send such a prophetic movement of renewal to

Israel at the time of the promised Messiah (Mal. 3:1; 4:6).

Jesus declared that John the Baptist was the messenger that

Malachi spoke of to prepare people to receive His ministry

(Matt. 17:12). The problem was that the majority of Jews

leadership di d not receive John’s ministry. And not only was

John’s ministry rejected but eventually so was Jesus’s

message and ministry by most of the nation. The nation of

Israel was not restored and brought into the new covenant that

the messiah was to bring (Jer. 31:31; Mal. 3:1-3; Luke 17:16

17).

But we find help in Malachi’s prophecy in Mal.4:6 that helps us

to gain a more complete picture of Elijah coming in the last

days. Elijah was going to come twice. He was to come at the

first coming of Jesus but He would also to come at His second

coming just before the end of this age.

See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction (Mal. 4:5-6).
