The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

The great and dreadful day of the Lord was always a reference

to the very last days when the Lord would bring His full kingdom

and judge the wicked nations. This would be the very end of

this age. As New Testament believers we can more clearly see

this. This is once again a double prophecy. Yes, the spirit of

Elijah did come just before Jesus’ first coming (Mal. 3:1ff; Luke

1:16ff). But the Holy Spirit let us know in Malachi 4:6 that the

Elijah spirit would also come in power just before Jesus' second

coming to bring a great restoration among God’s people to

prepare the church for its final role in the end times.

Consequently we see that this amazing prophetic movement

did begin with John the Baptist but did not end with him - there

was to be a greater expression of this movement with its finale

at the very end of this age.

Jesus in speaking of this second visitation of the Elijah spirit,

predicted that it will be far more successful than in its first

coming. Jesus declares that the second coming of the Elijah

spirit would “restore all things” (Matt.17:11). We are not sure

what this fully means but it is clear that this second visitation

will have a muc h greater accomplishment in reviving God’s

people.

Such a prediction points to a great time of revival and

reformation that is to be expected with the final outpouring of

the Holy Spirit that the prophet Joel spoke of. As nations are
