renewal movement but not a growing culturally and Kingdom of

God transformation of cities and nations.

Only those who are truly discipled and become “disciplers” can

sustain and expand a multi generational movement. Most mass

evangelism efforts die within a short period of time.

A “discipling movement” then is based on each convert being

discipled in knowing and applying basic doctrine and being

taught how to carry forward the Great Commission ’s mandate.

When thousands are taught how to do this out to the fourth and

fifth generation of disciples, under the power of the Holy Spirit,

the potential of a movement begins.

Right now the U.S. Center of World missions is tracking 1369

such movements (as of this writing) with more being added monthly. 34 But this mission agency is honest about the fact that

this is just the beginning of something that must become the

norm in church growth and evangelism. As more and more

mission and church organizations understand how divine

movements develop, hopefully we will see an explosion of

movements sweeping over nations.
