and people groups.

But what is a “movement”?

Defining a Biblical Movement

A Biblical “movement” by definition is a gospel-phenomenon

that signals the spread of Christian discipleship from “addition growth” to “multiplication growth.” 33 Instead of leading one

person at a time to faith (addition) people become Christians by

groups (multiplication), causing exponential growth of disciples

to faith in Jesus Christ.

To sustain and expand such a movement requires two critical

elements. First we must purpose to train believers to disciple

and train another believer who will then train and disciple

another out to the fourth or fifth generation of disciples. This

should continue until such growth goes beyond the ability to

track this discipling process. This is a biblical strategy of

generational discipleship.
