The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

It is clear from scripture that this amazing growth was due to

spiritual movements. I have already pointed out how Paul and

his team had successfully launched a powerful movement

through Asia Minor. Within a decade Paul had reached the

entire region from Jerusalem to the western borders of

modern day Turkey with the gospel, manifesting the life and

power of the Kingdom of God (Romans 15:18-20, Acts 19:11).

It is estimated that the population at the time of that Roman

province was around 15 million people - made up of different

languages and people groups. Paul came to the place of

saying “there was no more place” for him to minister because

he had finished reaching this area (Rom.15:23-24).

Down through church history we see such movements like the

Protestant reformation, the Methodist movement under John

Wesley and the Salvation Army Movement, the Pentecostal

Movement, the Charismatic and Jesus Movements. These

movements swept millions into the Kingdom of God and

impacted whole cultures.

Today the US Center of World Missions is tracking thousands

of such movements that are touching the lives of millions around the world. 32 This mission organization only began

identifying and tracking such movements a few decades ago. It
