The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

him to the ground and converting him (Acts 9:1-9). He becomes

the greatest expositor of the gospel that the church has ever

had.

We find Peter and John walking out of a heavily guarded prison

at the direction of an angel, with no one seeing them leave (Acts

5:19-24; 12:7-9). We find jails shaken by God so that His

imprisoned apostles are released and prisoners are saved

(16:26). We find Paul, during one of his greatest citywide

revivals, sending out workers with pieces of his work clothes to

lay on sick and demonized people to heal them.

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them (Acts 19:11-12).

Again, these are only a sampling of the audacious and creative

miracles the early church did to advance the gospel.

Jesus and the early church did not live and teach such

audacious faith to only have it die out with the last apostle. No,

the Great Commission makes it clear that it is to last unti the

end of this age (Mark 16:20).

The age of the church began with divine audacity, and it will

end with divine audacity.
