The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

This picture of a continuous harvest is set out in Amos 9:11-13

(NIV).

“In that day I will restore David’s fallen shelter — I will repair its broken walls and restore its ruins — and will rebuild it as it used to be, so that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations that bear my name. ” ... “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “ when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes . New wine will drip from the mount ains and flow from all the hills… . ” (Emphasis added.)

Salvation by Faith and Grace Alone

The context of this passage is Amos foretelling the destruction

of Israel’s ten northern tribes, which happened during the 7th

century B . C . But as the prophet ends his message in Chapter

9, he offers a gleam of hope that there will come a day when

God restores Israel to its land, removes His judgment upon it,

and uses His restored people to touch all nations with His

kingdom’s life and power.

Amos prophesies that God will rebuild His Kingdom through a

descendant of David, who will rule the nations. This echoes the
