The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....
The Growing Work of the Spirit
Peter was inspired by God to explain to the wondering
Pentecost crowd the dramatic phenomena of the Holy Spirit as
the fulfillment of what had long ago been promised by the
prophet Joel. Peter quoted Joel's prediction of a worldwide
outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the last days.
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved... (Joel 2:28-32 NIV)
According to this remarkable scripture, the Pentecost
outpouring would extend from the very beginning of the
church's witness until the final days preceding Jesus' return.
If we dig a little deeper into the context, we see that this
outpouring would be marked by two great spiritual movements
— one at its beginning and one at its end. An early writer
highlighting the significance of these two outpourings was Dr.
David Wesley Myland, over a century ago, in his 1910 treatise
