The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....
I exhorted them to understand the truth of the gospel. I felt
empowered, getting more energy as they grew silent and
listened intently. When I finished, the crowd seemed moved
and club members came over to pat me on the back. They
sensed that the message had made an impact. Some of the
crowd came forward to talk with us.
I was simply stunned. It was the first time I had ever spoken to
a large group of non-church listeners, and I was amazed at how
God had used me to touch an unbelieviing crowd. I have never
forgotten the experience, or how it affected me.
The second chapter of Acts records that on the day of
Pentecost, Peter experienced something similar, but with
immensely greater impact. God took a fearful and remorseful
man, who had denied Jesus at the Crucifixion, and transformed
him into a powerful messenger for the Kingdom. What made
the difference? The Pentecostal outpouring of the Holy Spirit
had taken the disciples from fear to boldness. A divine new
dynamic changed their preaching and their witness.
Let me lay out from scripture what I believe the church can
expect from God’s Spirit as we move into the coming harvest.
