The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

absolute power and holiness was more than the Israelites could

handle. They begged Moses to go and speak to God on their

behalf — leaving them well away from His overwhelming

presence.

God had come among His people, but they could not directly

relate to Him. Such was the atmosphere of life under the Law,

lived out before a sovereign, holy God, apart from the salvation

we now have in Jesus Christ.

But the New Testament ’s Mount Zion (the Kingdom of Heaven)

presents a strikingly different atmosphere:

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. (Heb. 12:22-24)

On Mount Zion we find the gathering of all God’s people , both

the living and the dead, united under a New Covenant based

on Jesus’ life and work. On this spiritual mountain we find

unending, joyful celebration of angels together with the saints

now in heaven (Heb. 12:1).
