The Shaking of Nations - A Harvest Tsunami Is On Its Way....

believers we know that the “ greater temple ” is the church of

Jesus Christ. The “ glory ” that will attract the nations is the

unshakable, overcoming life believers will live out before a

floundering world anxious for hope.

But the church urgently needs spiritual growth and renewal to

step into its role. Let’s take a closer look at the beginning verses

in Hebrews 12, and identify the stepping stones.

Who was the audience? This letter was written to Jewish

readers who had become believers, embracing Jesus as their

Messiah; but in the midst of persecution they were struggling to

stay faithful. In Chapter 12 the writer sums up his entire letter

— stressing to his readers the importance of holding fast to their

spiritual commitment, despite their circumstances.

The Key to an Unshakable Life

Early in the chapter the writer calls his readers to stop focusing

on their own problems and instead focus on the testimonies of

other believers, and the example of Jesus Himself.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked
