Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World

Those ladies never retrieved their head coverings that were strewn all over the floor, because they were free. They were free in Jesus Name. The next morning, we met with the Pastor of the church, and he told us he had something very important to talk to us about. I thought he was going to be upset about the prior night’s service. What he told us was much more important than that. He said something I will never forget. The Pastor began, “I want you to know that several of my church members have come to me and told me that last night, they were stopped along the road by some Haitian drug lords and gang lords as they were walking home. They asked my people, ‘Where are those white men from America?’ The drug and gang lords continued, “Every time we raise our rifles and try to shoot them, THEY BECOME INVISIBLE!’” Bro Bill reminded me that Psalm 83:3 speaks of “God’s hidden ones.” He truly hid us from the enemy who came to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came so we can have abundant life. Hallelujah! One thing we didn’t realize before we came to Haiti is that during the time frame we were there, Haiti was under Martial Law. That is where military rule takes over a civilian government. Another thing we were not aware of is the United States government had issued travel warnings that stated, “No Americans Should Travel to Haiti.”
