Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World

I was to discover later that Key West was the last stop in the USA. I met lots of people down there that were running away from something… or someone. When they ran away from whatever, or whomever was chasing them, Key West was as far as they could run. My plane landed in West Palm Beach and then we got in vans and made the 80-mile trip to Miami and then headed on down south, navigating the 164-mile perilous trek to Key West. What makes this trip perilous is so much of the highway to Key West is a two-lane road with very little space along the way to pass slow moving cars or vans whose drivers are already in the Key West spirit of a slow paced, no-hurry lifestyle. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was driving along the Seven Mile Bridge. It was like driving down a small ribbon with the ocean on each side. The experience is both exhilarating and scary, one you will never forget. Upon arriving in Key West, we joined forces with Pastor Seby Matacena from Our Father’s Place in Miami and Pastor Marlin Simon of Spirit and Truth Fellowship on Plantation Key in Islamorada. I had no idea how the next few days were going to shape my life of street evangelism and how we would see God move in powerful ways we had only read about in history books. The Fantasy Festival in Key West was on the launching pad, ready to explode into a party of parties that would make history and bring even more revelers to Key West in years to come.
