Bro Bill, Brian, and Pastor Steve began to talk to these pimps and confront them with the Gospel. The preaching of the cross is so powerful, that each one of the pimps prayed to receive Jesus as Lord. Hallelujah. One of the pimps that Bro Bill led to the Lord was from Los Angeles. A pimp from Los Angeles came all the way to Shinjuku in Tokyo to continue selling girls, but he had a radical encounter with Jesus Christ and turned his life over to Him. In the midst of the wild street scene there in Kabukicho, pimps were getting saved. Soon after that, I had taken a little break from singing and Bro Bill and the team continued ministering on the streets. I looked over at the corner where we were ministering, and I saw an amazing sight I never thought possible. Two of the pimps that had confronted me earlier were now holding the “ Jesus – Beautiful Savior ” banner up for us for all to see. Thank God for His saving power. Thank You Jesus that Your love breaks through. I was reminded of a quote I had read many years before in World Christian Magazine by its Editor and Publisher, Gordon Aeschliman. He wrote, “The only real difference between us and the pimp downtown is the grace of God.” I have to say, “Amen to that.” The next morning our team jumped in the van and before heading to Sendai, we went to visit with the Pastor of a local church, Shinjuku Shalom Church. Also, we met up with Pastor Steve’s longtime friend, Kazumasa Inagaki, referred to as Kazu. Kazu, his wife, Naomi, and their children lived a little over 300 miles away in Kobe, Japan.
