Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World
I’m happy to say that Biggie’s beautiful mother, Palesa, not only gave her heart to Jesus but she has given up alcohol completely. She realized that she could lose her children one way or the other. The family lived in a little one-room tin shack with no electricity or running water. The deplorable conditions would be completely unacceptable in the USA. Pastor Nelly of Lehae Christian Fellowship has continued to reach out to Palesa and the boys. Our ministry rented a small home for this precious family and moved them out of the conditions they were in. Palesa found a job in a bakery six days a week and the boys are doing well. God is GOOD! South Africa is filled with such beautiful people. It is also plagued by poverty, crime, corruption, unstable electricity, and water supply. But, above all, South Africa has a hunger for Jesus, it is a country on the brink of revival! Most of the areas we had been to in South Africa were predominantly black areas. They were areas that don’t have many white people visit. It was a bit puzzling to me that the areas were not very racially integrated. After all, Apartheid with all its atrocities had ended. It just seemed to me that would result in the races coming together. It has been interesting to talk about Apartheid with our South African friends. Surprisingly, many of them have told us they were actually better off before Apartheid ended. The children received a good meal and other benefits at school. They say more children are going hungry now. Munsieville
