Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World
We had the privilege of ministering with them in their church. We were even seated next to some diplomates from Israel one of the last times we attended. Don’t be surprised to find, someday, that Reverend Meshoe has been elected President of the great country of South Africa. Sadly, Lydia has passed away. I’m quite sure that she and Sondra are having a great reunion in Heaven! I’m quite sure that Lydia is missed by her family, her church congregation, and her countrymen. We have so many touching, compelling stories to share about our numerous outreaches in South Africa. I’ve prayed about what to share and what not to share. Through all our outreaches in South Africa God has protected us and provided for us. The very first team we took with us had a team of sixteen people. There was excitement in the air and expectation of what God would do through our band of Believers. On our very first day of outreach to the Orange Farm we joined Pastor Anthony’s group from his church. They had a canopy set up, speakers and drums. Excitement filled the air. I take it very seriously when Bobby and I are responsible for other people. I am always keeping my eyes open to watch and make sure no one goes off on their own, that they stay with at least one partner. There is safety in numbers. As we were singing and passing out Gospel tracts, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a young man who didn’t seem to have a choice in where he was walking. He was flanked by some other young men who were practically dragging him. Apparently, he had been wounded by them.
