had gone before me. As we walked into the hotel, I noticed what they call “Dollar Bars” strategically placed around the hotel lobby. The first thing I saw at the dollar bar was a big, colorful sign that read, “Don’t Mess With Texas!” What?? A sign in Moscow bearing the famous Texas slogan? Then I noticed the selection of drinks they offered. Under soft drinks, at the top of the list was… you guessed it. Dr. Pepper. It looked like Pastor Dwayne’s quip to me about having my last Dr. Pepper in New York was not accurate. Since his last trip to Russia, Dr. Pepper had made its way to Moscow. I was thanking the Lord for his blessing on my behalf. I know He did that just for me. Our team from America made it into our hotel rooms and settled in for a good night’s sleep after such a long and tiring plane trip. The next morning, we got up and all headed for a tour bus that was waiting to take us around the city. Obviously, we could not be allowed into Russia as missionaries or preachers, so we entered the country as tourists. The week ahead of us would be filled with guided tours of museums and landmarks that were beautiful and interesting. But our main interest was to get those Bibles into as many hands as possible. I quickly realized a complete Bible was so valuable and rare to the Russian people. Back in America, before we left for Russia, I had read a newspaper article that stated that in Russia, if a family member had a Bible, they would tear out the pages
