There would be other ministers from other churches across America that would be joining them on this trip. At the time, Russia was still closed to the Gospel, but a small crack was beginning to open for Christian ministers to get in. I felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit that I was to go with Dwayne on this trip to Russia. Dot also felt from the Lord that I was to go. We didn’t have any money for this amazing mission’s trip that was fast approaching. But by faith, I told Dwayne that I wanted to join him on this trip to Russia. He smiled at me real big and simply said, “Well, come on!” I wasn’t sure what to expect but I knew if I was with Pastor Dwayne, it was going to be exciting… and a lot of fun. I remember one afternoon I was working to raise the money I needed to pay for my trip to Russia. The trip cost several thousand dollars, but Dot and I were believing God to supply. Dwayne also had to raise the money he needed for his airfare and expenses he would incur on this international trip. I was in the travel agent’s office working on raising the money I would need. I remember I had sent a note to a few supporters asking for support. I had a long way to go to reach my goal. I was starting to stress out a little bit as this process can be difficult.
