stressing out, I called Dwayne, but he was not available. I figured he was busy reaching out to people for help to cover his trip. Later I spoke to him on the phone and asked him how he was going about raising his money for the trip. He simply said, “Oh, I don’t know. I’ve been out playing golf. I’m not worried about it. God is going to take care of it all .” I couldn’t believe in these hours of stress and consternation I was going through, Pastor Dwayne was out playing golf, enjoying life, knowing God had it all handled. I found out later that Dwayne had never had a headache in his life. I was beginning to understand why. He had a deep faith and trust in God that He was in control. Dwayne definitely lived the old saying, “Let go and let God.” I was learning a valuable lesson from him, and we hadn’t even left for Russia yet. God supplied all our need and Dwayne and I boarded our plane for New York City on our way to Moscow. After landing at JFK Airport, we had a little layover, so we decided to grab some lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger and a Dr. Pepper. Dwayne knew that I was a Dr. Pepper freak and had to have several per day to function. Much like people need coffee to get through their day, Dr. Pepper was my vice. Dwayne looked over at me and said, “You better enjoy that Dr. Pepper because it is the last one you are going to see for a while .” He was pointing out to me that
