Street Stories - A Ringside Seat To Over 4 Decades Of Taking Jesus To The Streets Of The World

We were excited to live near family once again in Texas. We were very excited to be near Granny and be able to enjoy her home-cooking and spoiling. She could take what appeared to be nothing in the house to eat and whip up a meal fit for a king that would feed about thirty family and friends. God had miraculously provided for us to purchase a nice home in Plano, TX, a Dallas suburb. Dot’s mother had made her church home in Plano at The Potter’s House, an Assemblies of God church. When we got settled in our new home, she invited us to join her there. The Potter’s House was Pastored by Dwayne and Janice Lusk. We immediately fell in love with this great couple. Pastor Dwayne was an excellent Bible teacher and communicator. His sense of humor was unmatched. He actually sang a song called “The Laughing Song.” There were no lyrics, just Dwayne gut laughing through the entire song. Of course, he had everyone else laughing right along with him. Therefore, “The Laughing Song.” Janice was beautiful and fun. They were such a great couple who loved Jesus with a passion and the church was staffed by family members and friends. Their daughter, Trina, and her husband, Paul Freeman, served as Pastors of music and youth. The Lusks and Granny had become best friends. It was easy to make The Potter’s House our new church home. We were settling into Texas life again and God was blessing our family and our ministry. We were excited to be part of The Potter’s House family.
