Sing Into Your Storm

“The L ORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.” (Psalms 34:18)

It establishes a posture of heart unto the Lord, after that He can possess the very depths of your being, and your heart!

“Whom have I in Heaven but You? And there is nothing upon earth that I desire besides You… My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” (Psalms 73:25-26)

Perhaps your barrenness might not be in the inability to bear children. You might be experiencing a time or season in life where your well has run dry, where ministry aspirations have not reached the height of your vision or has left you in severe lack of productivity from all of your hard labors, with feelings of emptiness, deprivation, lack of fulfillment, or harvest. I believe the Lord would have you begin to sing right now into your areas of barrenness! You can sing of God’s Love, mercy, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, provision etc. It’s a choice of heart! But you must choose to worship God in this way. Don’t give up! Don’t let despair or despondency have its way with you! Sing and declare His promises! He will come and dwell in the midst of it!

“But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” (Psalms 22:3)

Yes, you can enthrone the Living God right into the midst of the barrenness in your life! By so doing, you are inviting the great I AM to come and dwell in the midst of your dry and
