Sing Into Your Storm

Through prolonged seasons of barrenness, God has brought forth many of the greatest servants ever found in the Bible! Take Isaac, Israel, Samson, Samuel & John the Baptist… all were born to women who had once been barren in their lives! What does the Word of God admonish those who are suffering from barrenness to do? To Bible says to sing ! Sing directly into your barrenness itself! This is what we mean by learning to sing into your storm ! Sing with faith and expectation! It is in the Word of God!

“Sing, O barren, you who have not borne! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman, says the L ORD .” (Isaiah 54:1)

What? Are you serious? Can you imagine a barren woman in ancient Israel being encouraged sing into her barrenness? One who is already ridiculed by others, feeling shame and probably feeling abandoned by God? Sometimes even bearing the reproach of being rejected by her husband for not being able to bear children? Singing into your barrenness is an act of deep worship, and an act of faith. It is not a guarantee that you will become pregnant. But is releases to the Lord a heart that becomes bonded to His. What will God do with a despaired and broken heart that calls (sings) unto Him?

“He heals the brokenhearted , and binds up their wounds.” (Psalms 147:3)
