ROMANS Study Guide
b. Presenting or yielding to Holy Spirit places us into God’s hands…
He becomes responsible to lead us, to strengthen us and to
deliver us. We cannot always see what he is doing or understand
his timing but if we continue to yield to his will and truth we will
see his spiritual transformation working in our lives and making
us more and more like Christ.
4. Walking (living in the Spirit) : Rom.8:1,4,14
a. Revelation, Reckoning and Presenting are only possible if they are
done in the wisdom and strength of the Holy Spirit. Paul says …” I
can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil.4:13)
Our goal in our daily life is to be filled with (under the control of)
the Holy Spirit (Eph.5:18) and to be led by him (8:14).
b. Spirit living is supernatural living… it supernatural peace, joy,
strength, ability and character. It requires supernatural thinking
and understanding (Phil.2:5; Rom.12:2). To many times as
Christians we are defeated by accepting the lie that supernatural
moments in God are rare and only for saints. We need our minds
transformed to think like Jesus Christ (Phil.2:5). We must learn
to be naturally supernatural in our thinking and living.
1) If I am dead in Christ towards sin (Rom.6:2f) then I will never make
an excuse for sin in me I know I am already victorious over this
temptation and have the grace to win over it.
2) I must seek his understanding (revelation), I must reckon, I
must continue to present myself to the Holy Spirit - and God will work
his supernatural grace in and through me giving me the victory.
(Phil.2:12-13).
5. Sharing (giving what we have to each other): Rom.12:3-5
a. We cannot enjoy or experience the full ministry and life of Christ
