word from the Lord. We did receive a word that night,

but it was not what we expected. He looked at us and

declared, “ you’re going to the Baptists, and they are going to

be filled with the spirit.” We were quite surprised by the

prophecy, because I was raised a classical Pentecostal

and had only attended a Baptist church twice in my life.

However, it didn’t take long for the word to start being

fulfilled. Soon, an invitation came from Pastor Jerry

Wells at Western Hills Baptist Church in Oklahoma

City, inviting me to come for a prayer conference. Soon,

another invitation came from Dr. Jim Burkett, pastor at

Hillcrest Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. While

ministering at Hillcrest Baptist, an Oklahoma State

University student with a famous mullet kept getting in

the prayer line. I gave the young man a prophetic word,

and Lawrence Neisent later became my first spiritual

son. It was there that we met our first lifetime partners,

Alan and Carolyn LeGrand, who have supported our

ministry each month for many years.
