Ephesians 4:23-24 …and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind , that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. There are at least four reasons why it is important that our minds be renewed: 1. Renewal of our mind is important because our thinking, to a large extent, determines our behavior (Mt. 15:18-19). What you believe or what you have been programmed to believe will have a major bearing on how you act or respond to any given set of circumstances. If you believe, for instance, that the world is going to end in ten years, it will affect how you live your life and the decisions that you make today. Part having our minds renewed is learning how to think like God thinks about things so that our actions correspond to God’s purpose for our lives, and so that we can live in God’s reality not in a reality or world of our own making. Why is the renewal of our mind so important?
