This obsession has led to serious consequences, including extreme dieting and a rise in eating disorders. 6. A passion for music Many young people today are deeply influenced by the music they listen to. It’s like they can’t go a moment without it, often cranking the volume so high you’d think it could wake the dead. It’s almost like they're living in a world of their own. We've come a long way from radios to having music instantly available right in the palm of our hands. Some of the cars young people drive today have more wattage in their stereo systems than horsepower in the engine. particularly in the business world. Ego, greed, pride, and competition fuel the drive to climb the corporate ladder regardless of how it impacts others. 8. A passion for pleasure Many people live for their annual vacations, but these aren’t just ordinary getaways —they’re often elaborate, indulgent experiences, fueled by the "Club Med" mindset. The focus is all about squeezing every ounce of pleasure out of life, obsessed with hedonism. I remember years ago, I took a trip to Jamaica, where one of the resorts was literally called Hedonism — a place where pretty much anything goes. It’s a perfect reflection of our society today: a mentality that says, "Party hard now, because who knows if tomorrow will ever come." 7. A passion to be significant This is a pursuit of significance at any cost —
