excessive time on social media, unhealthy reading material, and worldly music. It is only before I consume food that I have a choice whether or not it is going to be a part of me. B. A Poor Prayer Life So often the busyness of schedules can choke out time with God, like a weed that chokes out good crop growth. As Christians desiring to move in the power of God, we must never forget our supply line, which is prayer. We can never be too busy to pray, to read the Bible, to spend time with family and friends, and to pray corporately in our churches. Matthew 12:36- 37: “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” Ephesians 4:29: “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” We must be careful about what words are coming out of our mouths. There should be no idle words, only words that benefit others. We will have to account for every careless word which has come from our mouths. Remember Satan is the big accuser of the brethren; he pours out filthy words of accusation constantly. D. A Poor Spirit Life The following will help you take a personal inventory: • Unforgiveness *Lack of faith • Anger * Pride • Bitterness * Idolatry • Impurity * Preconceived ideas C. A Poor Word Life (Matthew 12:36-37; Ephesians 4:29; Revelation 12:9-10)
