God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power

God's Prophetic People

Today, with the vast number of marketing strategies and wide variations of doctrines, it is much harder to tell who is a real servant of God. Here in Hebrews 2:1-4, it is clear that signs and wonders are given to witness to the fact that these men are servants of God. We will know them by their fruit. What kind of fruit is our life producing? Let us all desire to give witness to the fact that we are indeed servants of the most-high God. In 1 Kings 18:38 we read about the miracle which vindicated Elijah as God’s prophet and proved that Israel’s Lord alone was the living God whom they were to serve. It should be so today--God will vindicate His servants. Exodus 10:1-2: “Now the LORD said to Moses, ‘Go in to Pharaoh; for I have hardened his heart and the hearts of his servants, that I may show these signs of Mine before him, and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and your son's son the mighty things I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them, that you may know that I am the LORD.’” Judges 2:10: “When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.” If ever there was a time when a generation needs faith, it is right now. There have been so many things which have brought fear into the hearts of God’s people. When signs and wonders are evident, peoples’ faith soars. Throughout scripture we see that oral tradition and recitation were important parts of a Hebrew child’s education and religious training that preserved the belief and experience of the people. Today, with all the counterfeit powers and signs, we need once again to G. To Impart FAITH to a Future Generation (Exodus 10:1-2; Judges 2:10)
