God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
2 Kings 5:15-17: “And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, ‘Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.’ But he said, ‘As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.’ And he urged him to take it, but he refused. So Naaman said, ‘Then, if not, please let your servant be given two mule- loads of earth; for your servant will no longer offer either burnt offering or sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.’” The widow of Zarephath, which was a suburb of pagan Sidon, knew without a shadow of a doubt that Elijah was a man of God. The God. Naaman, the Syrian, was converted to the one and only true God when the Lord healed him by the word of the prophet Elisha. In the New Testament we find that fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. In Acts we see thousands coming to a saving knowledge of the Lord. Miracles, signs and wonders are to be taken out of the church and into the arenas of their lives. As this continues to take place, we will find more and more people coming into the Kingdom of God. Hebrews 2:1- 4: “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just reward, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?” F. To WITNESS to the Fact that His Servants Are Men of God (Hebrews 2:1-4)
