God's Prophetic People - A People of Passion, Purpose And Power
God's Prophetic People
Lord and Savior has supernatural power over sin, sickness, and the devil. Our God has power over all things, including death and the grave.
D. To Display His GLORY (John 11:4)
John 11:4- 7: “When Jesus heard that, He said, ‘This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.’ Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was. Then after this He said to the disciples, ‘Let us go to Judea again.’” Lazarus was raised from the dead for one purpose: for the glory of God. This miracle was given to display — to bring out into the open — the glory of the Lord. Miracles are not given to elevate man, nor are they given to promote a minister. They are released for the purpose of bringing glory to the One whom glory is due, that being the Lord. As Christians, the Lord instructs us through Paul regarding who or what we are to glory or boast in. They are: 1) We are to glory/boast in the Lord (2 Corinthians 10:17) 2) We are to glory/boast in the cross of Christ (Galatians 6:14) 3) We are to glory/boast in God-fearing churches (2 Thessalonians 1:4) E. To Extend God's KINGDOM (Evangelism) (1 Kings 17:24; 2 Kings 5:15,17; Acts 2:41-47). 1 Kings 17:22-24: “Then the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he re- vived. And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, ‘See, your son lives!’ Then the woman said to Elijah, ‘Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is the truth.’”
