God's Prophetic People

"wind" is from the Lord. Not every new doctrine or teaching aligns with God’s truth. If we set our sails to catch every new wind, we risk being tossed to and fro by every passing doctrine. Developing a prophetic perspective helps us recognize the true moving of the Holy Spirit and respond rightly to new truths, ensuring we stay anchored in God’s Word. Fifth , a prophetic perspective will help you keep focused on who the captain of the ship really is. Remember Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the captain of our ship. He is the one who is to be continually our focal point for everything. Sixth , a prophetic perspective will provide you with the insight needed to identify the right crew members for your mission. Just as different ships have different purposes, each purpose requires a specific set of crew members. As a leader in the Body of Christ, the first question you must answer is: What kind of ship has God called me to steward? Once you’ve answered this, a second, clear question follows: Who, then, are the crew members? Who will walk alongside me in this journey? Who has been called and anointed for this specific task and voyage? Seventh , a prophetic perspective gives you the wisdom to recognize when it's time to abandon the sinking ship. Many works in the Body of Christ are built around programs, and in fact, many churches are structured around them. However, we must be willing to move beyond programs and focus on the present-day truths God is revealing through His presence. Our priority should not be on maintaining programs, but on seeking His presence. When the cloud of God's presence moved in the desert, the Is- raelites followed it. Likewise, we must be willing to follow where the Spirit is leading. Some in the Body of Christ remain stuck in outdated traditions or man-made structures that lack
