borders. You see, it is faith that takes you beyond your own limitations. It is faith that takes you beyond your own capacities.
“Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading.” – Oswald Chambers 25
You may be asking yourself, “How can I develop my faith and truly live by it?” D.L. Moody once said this powerful statement in regard to faith: “I prayed for faith and thought that someday faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But faith did not seem to come. One day I read in Romans ten that, ‘Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.’ I had, up to this time, closed my Bible and prayed for faith. I now open my Bible and begin to study, and faith has been growing ever since.” 26 How is your faith? Do you live with a quiet inner peace that comes from knowing God loves you, that He indeed has your best interest in mind, that He empowers you to do the work He has called you to do? Remember the just shall live by faith. C. Take Hold of God's Purpose (Philippians 3:12-14) Philippians 3:12-14: “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” In this portion of scripture, the word picture is that God reaches down and grabs hold of us. God initiates toward us. He is the one who not only calls us by our name, but also reaches
