3. Song of Deliverance (1 Samuel 16:23; Psalm 32:7) This prophetic song is sung under the anointing of the Lord which has the capacity to set the captives free. In 1 Samuel 16:23, David played with such an anointing that it caused the evil spirit to depart from Saul. Isaiah 10:27 states it is the anointing which breaks the yokes. The song of deliverance breaks the yokes off of people. It sets the captives free, for VI. Practical Prerequisites IN MINISTERING THE SONG OF THE LORD A. Reading, Studying, and Meditating on God's Word (Colossians 3:16) Colossians 3:16: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Prophetic people are those who live immersed in God's Word. They boldly speak His Word and declare it aloud. In their secret place, they sing the Psalms to the Lord, creating their own melodies that flow from His written Word. B. Asking the Lord to Give You a New Song Matthew 7:7-11: where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom/liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).
