5. WHAT IS THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY GHOST? The baptism with the Holy Ghost is a baptism of the believer into the Holy Spirit, at which time he is given entrance into the realm of unlimited, measureless power to do the works of Christ. Acts 1:8. 6. HOW DOES THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY GHOST AFFECT THE BELIEVER’S LIFE? A. AUTHORITY to witness and minister to others. Acts 1:8; Mark 16:17, 18 B. INSPIRATION for true worship, John 4:24; Philippians 3:3; Hebrews 2:12 C. POWER in Prayer. Romans 8:26; 1 Corinthians 14:15; Jude 20; D. Ephesians 6:18. E. UNDERSTANDING of the Scriptures. 1 John 2:20, 27; 1 Corinthians 2:12; John 6:13-15. F. GUIDANCE from God’s Voice. Acts 13:2; Mark 13:11. G. MANIFESTATIONS of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12 and 14. H. THE FRUIT AND GRACES of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:16-23, 25. 7. WHAT MUST WE DO TO RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST? We receive the Holy Ghost by asking God for it after that we have obeyed His word, i.e., “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:38; Luke 11:13. 8.
