The Opposite Gate

Gates and doors. A series of tumblers coming into place to open the lock. Most of the time we don’t realize the adventure we’re on until it starts to unfold in front of us. The awareness comes that what we are in the middle of is so much bigger than just us. The excitement that we are part of the whole of His wonderful grand design… During a trip up to Montana for some Kingdom meetings in February of 2020, the Lord invited my friend and I on an adventure that was unexpected and packed full of His intentions. The meetings concluded, but we were led to stay in Montana for an extra day on Father’s assignment. As we woke up the next morning, we found the weather had caused many road closures throughout the eastern side of Idaho, which was the way we had come. There were also hazardous road conditions through the center of the state. We were leaning in to hear what the Lord was saying. After looking at the map and listening to my husband’s counsel, we found a promising path home. By the time we found our route and loaded the car, it was noon. Because of the late start we knew it would be a two- day journey, but Father’s peace led the way as we started down the road.
