THE FIRST ORGANIZED Pentecostal movement in Great Britain was the Apostolic Faith Church, out of which was formed the Apos tolic Church of Great Britain in A.D. 1916. 1 Both churches are often over looked by church historians, which is unfortunate because they were both effusive in the spiritual gifts, particularly prophecy, and influential world wide.2 The Apostolic Church today is the smallest of the mainline Pente costal groups in Britain. The founders were brothers Daniel Powell Williams and William Jones Williams. "Both were converted in the Welsh revival 1904-05. Early asso ciation was with the Apostolic Faith Church founded by W. 0. Hutchin son (1864-1928) in Bournemouth in 1908. D. P. Williams entered the full-time ministry in 1911 and was called to be an apostle in 1913. Fol lowing disagreement with the Bournemouth parent body, the majority of the Welsh assemblies broke away at the end of 1915 to form the nucleus of the Apostolic Church." 3 James E.
