These ministries have the potential of neutralizing believers in their testimony, causing believers to focus on the wrong goal, and even causing them to stumble and fall. Jesus warned us to watch out for deception (Mt. 24:24-25). He warned us that false ministries would arise teaching false doctrines that need to be discerned. My hope in this book is to reiterate Jesus’ warning and to equip the believer to be able to discern the true from the false and the real from the counterfeit. Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won't be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching . We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church. Ephesians 4:14-15
