Some trends are the result of adjusting methods to meet the unique demands of a generation or culture. In this case, we are not so much talking about doctrinal trends, we are referring more about the way we do things and how the church has to adapt its forms and methods to meet the current status of things in the culture of its world. It is always important to be able to separate what is commanded from what is only preferred. Methods change, biblical principles and doctrine should remain the same.
