Lesson 11. The OT MESSIAH would be preceded by a forerunner

According to the Bible, the promised OT Messiah would be preceded by a forerunner, whose job it would be to “ prepare the way for the LORD ” (proclaim to the world that the OT Messiah would be God Himself in the flesh, who was willing to die for the sins of the world, be buried, and rise again - Mk 1:1- 3). It is interesting to note that those who recognized Christ as the forerunner’s promised OT Messiah also worshipped Him as God (Jn 1:6-8,15-31). Those who rejected John the Baptist’s claim concerning Christ’s deity refused to worship Him as God (Jn 1:26). According to the Bible, there are 80 verses that prophesy about the rejection and betrayal of Jesus Christ. Concerning His rejection and betrayal , Jesus would (in chronological order): 1. be rejected by the Temple Jews ( hath eaten Me up - Psa 69:9/ Jn 2:17) 941
