PSALMS “MINI” SERIES The Doctrine Of The OT MESSIAH

of thine hands: They shall perish; but THOU remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but THOU art the same, and THY years shall not fail . According to Psalm 102:24-27/Heb 1:8-12, Isaiah 7:14/Mt 1:23 and Isaiah 9:6/Rev 1:8, the promised OT Messiah would also be El in the flesh! NOTE - According to the common people (Jn 12:32-34) and Micah (Mic 5:2), the promised OT MESSIAH would be the ETERNAL ONE (“ whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting ”), God Himself in the flesh! Interestingly enough, those in the New Testament who recognized Jesus Christ as the promised OT Messiah also recognized His deity (the Eternal One; Jehovah , Elohim , El in the flesh) and worshipped Him as God (Jn 4:25-29 & 20:24-28,31). Those who rejected His claim to be the promised OT Messiah refused to worship Him as God (Jn 5:17-18 & 8:24,56-59 and Exo 3:1-14 & 18:1-12). As King (Psa 2:1-9 and Zeph 3:15), the O.T. Messiah will “ break the heathen with a rod of iron ,” a term attributed only to God (Psa 2:6-12, Num 24:17-19, Psa 45:6, Heb 1:8, Ezk 19:14 and Psa 96:13 & 98:9 & 110:1-2). NOTE - According to Nathanael (Jn 1:41,49), Peter (Acts 2:32-36), the book of Revelation (Rev 2:27 & 12:5 & 19:11-16), Isaiah (Isa 44:6) and Jeremiah (Jere 23:5-6), the promised OT MESSIAH would be the KING OF ISRAEL , God Himself in the flesh! Interestingly enough, those in the New Testament who recognized Jesus Christ as the promised OT Messiah also recognized His deity (the King of Israel) and worshipped Him as God (Mt 21:1-9). Those who rejected His claim to be the promised OT Messiah refused to worship Him as the King of Israel (Mk 15:1-22). According to Moses, the Angel in Exodus 23:20-23 is the same person as That Prophet spoken about in Deuteronomy 18:15-19. Moses promised Israel a Prophet who would mediate between God and man; this was a prophetic reference to the God-man, Jesus Christ (I Tim 2:5). Philip told Nathanael in John 1:45, “ We have found him (That Prophet) , of whomMoses in the law, and the prophets, did write .” Again, Jesus said in John 5:46, “… had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me …” NOTE - According to Peter (Acts 3:20-24), the promised OTMESSIAH would be THAT PROPHET talked about by Moses. He would be God Himself in the flesh! Interestingly enough, those in the New Testament who recognized Jesus Christ as the promised OT Messiah (That Prophet) also recognized His deity and worshipped Him as God (Jn 7:37-41). Those who rejected His claim to be the promised OT Messiah refused to worship Him as God (Jn 7:41-53). According to David (Psa 110:1-5), the promised OT Messiah (the Priest) would be the Divine Ruler Himself (vs. 4-5). NOTE - According to Hebrews 5:5-6 & 6:20 & 7:14-28, the promised OT MESSIAH would be that PRIEST , the Divine Ruler Himself in the flesh. It is interesting to note that those who recognized Jesus Christ as the promised OTMessiah (the Priest) also worshipped Him as God (Mt 22:41-46). Those who rejected His claim to deity refused to worship Him as God (Mt 26:63-68).

Lesson 6. The OT MESSIAH would be THAT PROPHET

Lesson 7. The OT MESSIAH would be the PRIEST

II. What HE Did Lesson 8. The OT MESSIAH would be born in Bethlehem (Mic 5:2) of a virgin (Gen 3:15, Jere 31:22 and Isa 7:14) of the human seed of David (Jewish race) (Psa 132:11/Lk 3:15). He would be Immanuel (Isa 7:14 & 9:6), God in flesh .

According to Moses ( Gen 3:15 b ), Ethan (Psa 89:3-4,29,36), Solomon (Psa 132:11), Jeremiah (Jere 31:22), Isaiah (Isa 7:14), Micah (Mic 5:2), Matthew (Mt 1:20-23) and Paul (I Tim 3:16), the coming OT MESSIAH would be a biological miracle ( her seed ), God Himself in the flesh! Interestingly enough, those in the New Testament who recognized Jesus Christ as the virgin-born Son of God also recognized His deity and worshipped Him as God (Mt 2:1-2). Those who rejected His claim to be the virgin-born Son of God refused to worship Him as God (Jn 8:39-45). NOTE - According to the Bible, there are 51 verses that prophesy about the first coming of Jesus Christ. Concerning His birth into this world , Jesus would (in chronological order): 1. be birthed in Bethlehem ( out of thee shall He come forth - Mic 5:2/ Mt 2:5-6)
