JUDE 1:9
JUDE 1:25

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, 1 durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. Beware of false teachers 10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. 4-6. Cain, Balaam and Korah - God judges men 11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of 2 Cain, and ran greedily after the error of 3 Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of 4 Core. 12 5 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: 6 clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; The promise of a JUDGMENT DAY to come (Fulfilled - Rev 20:11-15) 13 7 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, 8 to whom is reserved the 6 blackness of darkness for ever. P The promise of Wrath when CHRIST returns (Fulfilled - Rev 19:11-21) 14 And 9 Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the 10 LORD cometh 11 with ten thousands of his saints, P 15 10 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their
hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. P 16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth 12 speaketh great swelling words, 13 having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. 17 But, beloved, 14 remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 15 How that they told you there should be mockers in the 16 last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who 17 separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. Jude exhorts Christians concerning prayer and witnessing 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the 18 HOLY GHOST , 21 Keep yourselves in the love of GOD , looking for the mercy of our LORD JESUS CHRIST unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, 19 pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. The promise of CHRIST’S return (Rapture) (Fulfilled - Rev 4:1) 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and 20 to present you faultless before the presence of 21 HIS glory with exceeding joy, P 25 To the only 22 wise GOD our 23 SAV- IOUR , be 24 glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

1:9 Michael informed the Devil ( when contending with the devil ) that he was “not allowed” to reveal to the Jewish people where the Lord had buried the body of Moses, lest the people of God make an icon out of him and thus an idol. Although the Jews never discovered where the body of Moses was buried and thus never made an idol out of him, the Jews did develop a movement. It was called Judaism ( Deut 34:6 and Religious Note after Deut 34:12). NOTE – God knows people, and He knows how humans love to elevate other humans in order to establish movements (Jn 9:24-28). This is why Jesus publicly and openly fought the religion of Judaism and took the time to instruct Christians about the dangers of men and movements (Mt 9:16,17 ). 1:12 Those who are not born twice (born again - Jn 3:3-5) will die twice ( twice dead - Lk 12:4-5 and Rev 20:14-15). 1:13 Stars are sometimes used in the Bible to illustrate the “character” of a human being. Whereas there are three different kinds of stars used to characterize believers ( Dan 12:3 b ), there is only one kind of “star” used to characterize unbelievers – wandering (nomadic, drifting, out of control and/or orbit). 1:14a Jude cites the First Book of Enoch here in verses 14 and 15 ( 1 Enoch 1:9 – Behold …), as he was no doubt familiar with the content of the story and influenced by it. Although there is no reference in Genesis 5 (when Enoch lived) to Enoch having spoken this prophesy, Jude affirms that he did, as did the unknown Jewish author of the First Book of Enoch , which was written c. 170 BC. Both the Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church regard the First Book of Enoch as canonical, but the rest of Christianity does not. Thus, 1 Enoch is considered by the majority of Christendom to be one of the Pseudepigrapha books ( extra-biblical books ); a book of information, but not inspiration. J. R.
