P 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that 9 I AM . 71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth. Luke 23 1 And the whole multitude of them arose, 10 and led him unto Pilate. PF CHRIST before Pilate the first time 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. 3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the 11 KING OF THE JEWS ? And he answered him and said, 12 Thou sayest it . 4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. 5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. CHRIST before Herod 6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean. 7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. 8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. 9 Then he questioned with him in many words; 13 but he answeredhimnothing. PF 10 14 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. PF 11 14 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed

22:54 The unholy three: (1) Caiaphas (the Jewish high priest – Jn 11:49-50 and Acts 5:17-21,27 & 7:1 & 9:1-2); (2) Herod Antipas (son of Herod the Great); and (3) Pilate (Roman governor under Tiberius); all three were responsible for the death of Christ and all three met their fate within six years after condemning Jesus to the cross. Herod, accompanied by his wife Herodias, was banished by Caligula in AD 39 into exile in Gaul where he ended his life in shame and misery, and both Pilate and Caiaphas were removed from their prospective offices by Vitellius (governor of Syria) in AD 36; and both committed suicide. 1 1 Flavius Josephus.
