13:29-30 The phrase " these things " include the following four events: 1. The Antichrist sets himself up as a peacemaker right before the beginning of Daniel’s Seventieth Week (Dan 9:27) , referred to as the Seven-Year Tribulation (Mk 13:5-6, II Thess 2:1-3 and Rev 6:1-2) 2. The False Prophet exalts the Antichrist near the middle of the Tribulation (Mk 13:22 and Rev 13:11-18) 3. The Antichrist sets himself up as God in the middle of the Tribulation (Mk 13:14, II Thess 2:4 and Rev 13:1-8) 4. Great signs and wonders to occur during the last 3½ years of the Tribulation (Mk 13:22 and Rev 6:12-17 & 8:1-13) 13:32 The phrase “ neither the Son ” indicates that the perfect knowledge (which all members of the Triune Godhead share) was part of that which Jesus voluntarily refrained from using during his earthly ministry, except in those instances when such knowledge was needed for His purpose (Lk 11:17).
