MARK MARK Theory of Relativity, otherwise known as E = mc 2 (E being energy = to mass times the velocity of light squared). Eight years later in 1913, isotopes were discovered, making atomic energy a viable reality. Nevertheless, the world would not come to unearth atomic energy in the form of fission until Otto Hahn and F. Strassmann discovered its process in 1939. 5 NOTE - There is a difference between fission and fusion. Whereas fusion, which powers the sun, is the result of the nuclei of two hydrogen atoms joined (fused) together by extreme heat to form a single, heavy helium nucleus, fission is the result of the nucleus of a big uranium atom being split when struck by a free neutron thus releasing even more neutrons, which in turn causes a chain reaction. On August 6, 1945, America dropped its first fission atomic bomb, called Little Boy, on Hiroshima in Japan. After the dust settled, over 150,000 people were killed and/or injured. Three days later, on August 9, 1945, America dropped its second bomb, called Fat Boy, on the city of Nagasaki. Over 75,000 people were killed and/or injured. By 1961 America had the nuclear capabilities to destroy the world ten times over. Today, we have nuclear bombs that are 70,000 times more powerful than the atomic bombs we dropped on Japan sixty years ago. Truly, a sign that the End Times are upon us. As of 2006, ten nations had nuclear weapons of mass destruction: The U.S., Russia, England, France, Pakistan, India, China, Israel, Iran, and North Korea ( Dan 12:4 – point #1). According to Revelation 6:7-8 & 9:13-18, half of the world’s population in the End Times will die due to the kind of war that uses weapons that produce fire, smoke, and brimstone. There is only one means by which half of the world’s population can die in such a short period of time – atomic energy. 6. The globalization of the world (Rev 17:12-13) Since biblical times (Gen 11:1-9), Satan has worked feverishly to bring about a one-world government that will eventually defy the Deity that created him (Rev 13:1-9). According to Daniel 8:25, I Thessalonians 5:1-3, Revelation 6:1-3 and Ezekiel 38:8- 11, the Antichrist shall establish himself as a global peacemaker. In fact, this man will be so charismatic and so convincing (II Thess 2:8-11) that even the most skeptical Israeli hard-liner will trust him to ensure Israel’s security (Dan 9:27). Meaning: The world must be globalized and united before the Antichrist can bring about a global peace. M.R. De Haan II in his booklet called ‘ What Can We Know About The Antichrist? ’ notes: NOTE – On October 24, 1945, due to the influence of President Roosevelt, delegates from 51 nations signed a charter forming the United Nations (New World Order). By 1972, delegates from 131 nations participated in the U.N. The only countries not to sign on were Switzerland, East and West Germany, North and South Korea, and North and South Vietnam. By 2002 only Switzerland was a holdout. Since then, Switzerland has placed themselves under the control of global government and the U.N. can now legitimately boast of being the United Nations of the World. One year later (Apr 11, 2003) the International Criminal Court (ICC) was established and proponents of world government now had teeth. Then five months later, on September 9 the U.N. accepted Mikhail Gorbachev and Maurice Strong’s earth Charter, which is the basis for a new social and religious order. The U.N. is the only organization on earth designed to become a one-world global government, as the stage is now set and the world now ripe for the emergence of the Antichrist. Walter Cronkite, often called the most trusted journalist in America, was a staunch supporter of the United Nations. He once noted: 1599 The fact that we are moving rapidly toward a united world may be an indication that the time of Antichrist is near. With present-day technology, a world ruler could quite easily control all buying and selling. These facts should not alarm us, however. Rather, they should heighten our anticipation of the Lord’s return. 7
It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the United Nations as a first step toward a world government… To do that, of course, we Americans will have to yield up some of our sovereignty. That would be a bitter pill. It would take a lot of courage, a lot of faith in the new order. Pat Robertson has written a book a few years ago that we should have a world government, but only when the Messiah arrives. He wrote, literally, any attempt to achieve world order before that time must be the work of the devil…Well, join me. I’m glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan. 8
7. The global apostasy of the world (II Thess 2:1-3 and Lk 17:26-30) Both our LORD and the Apostle Paul stated emphatically that there would be a global defection from God’s moral and ethical standards before the Second Coming. 13:7 According to Daniel 7:8,20,24 and Revelation 6:1-2, the Antichrist will rise to power by conquering three of the ten horns described for us in Daniel (the meaning behind “ ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars ”). These quick and decisive victories will lead to a global peace on earth for the first 3½ years of Daniel’s Seventieth Week. Even Israel will find herself persuaded to let down her guard (Ezk 38:11). Revelation 13:4 states concerning the Antichrist, “ …Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him .”
